OBJECTIVE:

I have an active Secret Level Security Clearance.

EXPERIENCE:

06/23 – Present; Boeing, Promoted to Calibration Technician (Level 3): May 17,2024.

Primary duties:

Plan, check, set up, and operate Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and process equipment.

Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results.

Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.

Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork.

Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes.

Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by lead technician.

Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear.

Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes

Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes

Work with other employees engaged in the calibration and certification of M&TE, and assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures

Test Technician; Boeing, Huntsville, AL

Primary duties:

Work with engineering, quality control, manufacturing, vendor and customer representatives during definition, buildup, testing, and acceptance operations.

Perform functional check out and operational/component testing of electrical, electronic, electro- mechanical, electro-optical, mechanical systems, electronic, RF, and ground support equipment installations including the operation and maintenance of associated support equipment.

Analyze test and rejection history to identify problems and develop corrective action.

Recommend and make refinement to equipment, sub-assemblies, test, and integration processes.

Work from engineering drawings, schematics, work orders, technical documents, and formal direction.

Possess technical skills and abilities to work in a team environment with a minimal amount of supervisor instruction or direction.

Primary duties:

Perform UL/CSA product safety testing on ballasts, LED drivers, LED modules, LED surface mount and recessed luminaires, electric sign components, LED luminaire retrofit kits, LED electric sign, retrofit kits, LED refrigerated low voltage lighting systems per UL DAP (Data Acceptance Program) and CSA SMTC (Supervised Manufacturer’s Testing for Certification Program) laboratory accreditations (ISO/IEC 17025).

Manage and maintain calibration of all regulatory lab test equipment to UL17025.

Perform verification of leakage current test network circuits and thermocouples

Thermal couple up LED drivers / fixtures using JK thermal couple wire for new designs.

Perform validation of thermal test automation software.

Prepare and fill out datasheets for test plans and complete datasheet package for UL and CSA project submittals for Regulatory Engineer.

Prepare and label samples for testing and manage and maintain stored test samples.

Make changes to UL reports for alternate construction projects for UL submittals.

Read schematics and determine component fault locations.

Perform Energy Star subcomponents database for fluorescent ballasts.

Perform Design Lights Consortium ISTMT (in-situ) thermal testing and prepare ISTMT reports for regulatory engineering.

Manage and maintain regulatory lab consumables (thermocouple wire, cheesecloth, tissue paper, etc.).

Calculate resistive loads for LED drivers (both constant current and constant voltage).

Worked in warranty for the first 18 months, primary duty: repairing electronic Ballast down to component level.

Proficient in operating thermocouple dataloggers, multimeters, power analyzers, leakage current meters, oscilloscope, Chroma power supplies, Hipot testers, ground bond testers, force gauges, calibrated torque screwdriver, soldering irons, and de-soldering stations. EDUCATION:
