Tested the toxicological effects of Benzo(α)pyrene and the drugs ketoconazole and clotrimazole on the rate of breakdown of the carcinogenic agent via hepatic enzymes. Published results in a Senior Thesis as a requirement for the McKendree Honors Program. Field Biology Ecosystem of Coastal Florida, Crystal River, FL Study of the Florida gulf-side ecosystem, with an emphasis on the manatee and its habitat. Included study of various fish and plant species. Noted the environmental issues affecting this ecosystem. Swam with the manatees in the wild at Kings Bay.
