I spent a great deal of time coordinating with clients on the direction of their short term mining or project plans, tracking kpi’s and hands on blasting. Safety and risk management both play a big part in my job as well. Good planning and ensuring the safe handling and application of explosives with blast crew is key, as blaster in charge I know all crew on bench/site are my responsibility and them going home safe to their families everyday is just another aspect of my job that I treat with respect.
