Summary:

The social work I began with meaningful and

impactful role, as a Project coordinator for an NGO focused on empowering marginalized women-folk

through promotion of Self-Help Groups for

sustainable development. Secondly, the sensitivity and its magnitude of the epidemic of HIV/AIDS called for a community led intervention to halt and revert back its remorse among its population. That has

created an opportunity to be involve in its service, among Female Sex Workers, to render my valuable

experience and opportunities to make a difference in my life as well as the community with whom I worked for 14 years. Simultaneously I managed side by side extracurricular activities to boost my economic status after the office hours.

Work Experience:

1. Worked as a Technical Expertise (Project

Manager), supervisor, coordinator, mentor,

manager and documentation officer, for a

period of 20 years in providing inputs to get

meaningful outcome and bring about a significant

change in their attitude and behavior: -

2. Achievements:

Reduction of new infection (HIV/AIDS)

among FSW and with high-risk population

Improvement in their health seeking

behavior

Formation of numerous SHGs and its

sustainability, where a sense of

collaborative effort (belonginess) and

reached a stabilized management system in

place.

Developed a conducive environment in

office, fostering a feeling of oneness and a

sense of community spirit whereby

encouraging open communication,

promoting mutual respect, and organizing

group activities that facilitate teamwork

Trained staff their skill to be more effective

in their profession.

I have gained in holistic approach while

implementing this project.

Appointed as faculty member in S.R. Computer Institute, Dimapur and facilitated as Computer Instructor for a period of One (1) year. It has enhanced my technical skill in Office Management.

Building a sense of community spirit led to the Empowerment of Women Folk during my initial years of social work in AIDA a Development Wing of Don Bosco Institute – Dimapur, among women through the promotion of Self-Help-Groups in North-East Indian for their upliftment through integrated Programs for a period of Seven (7) years.

I engaged not only as a social activist, but also part time bases as Factory Manager, in one the reputed Revelin Bakery in Dimapur for the past five (5) years. It was indeed a great experience to manage the labour force and get the timely production. During my involvement the sale has increased from 50% to 80% and reached its highest pick in the year 2019. But it collapsed in 2020 due to look down.
