Hiring Committee
Kinsight Community Inclusion Services
Dear Hiring Committee,
I am excited to apply for the Community Support Worker position with Kinsight. I am inspired by Kinsight’s long-standing commitment to supporting people with developmental disabilities, and especially by your willingness to innovate and move beyond the status quo in community inclusion services. I would be honoured to contribute to this new approach by supporting participants in achieving their goals, developing independence, and building meaningful connections.
My frontline experience includes supporting residents with diverse needs at Vancouver Native Housing Society, where I provided assistance with daily living skills, coordinated appointments, and encouraged community participation. At the Vancouver Crisis Centre, I completed intensive training in suicide prevention and crisis intervention, developing strong skills in de-escalation, active listening, and problem-solving. During my practicum counselling at QMUNITY, I gained further experience in trauma-informed support, working inclusively with individuals facing systemic barriers.
I hold First Aid/CPR certification, Naloxone and harm reduction training, Food Safe knowledge, and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a reliable vehicle. I am comfortable assisting with personal care, household management, and skill development in areas such as transportation independence and financial management. I am also familiar with Positive Behaviour Support techniques and thrive in team environments where collaboration, respect, and creativity drive outcomes.
I would welcome the opportunity to bring my compassion, adaptability, and experience to Kinsight’s Community Inclusion team. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can support your mission to push the boundaries of best practice and create meaningful opportunities for those you serve.
Sincerely,
Pascal Christeller
