As shop manager I am in charge of maintaining a clean and organized shop while making sure all other shop duties are completed daily. My main duty is keeping track of the company’s explosive inventory and loading jet perforating gun jobs that we take out to diferent locations in the oil field. I mainly stay in the shop but go out to the field when necessary. I currently have a Commercial Class A license which is why I am needed to drive our commercial vehicles out to the fields and participate in rigging up carrying out the job and rigging down. I am often required to drive long distances to pick up or drop off explosives and tools that we require for different jobs. My role requires me to work long hours when needed averaging from 100 to 120 hours bi-weekly sometimes even more than that. I have abeen sent to work out of state and out of the country. I also have 3 years experience as an Ironworker placing rebar for contruction sites and have basic experience using various hand tools and driving forklifts.
