My duties as a pharmacy technician is to make sure the patient has have their medication filled at the right time. Before filling we made sure we informed the patient if they were covered by the insurance or the would have to pay a pay out of pocket . I also would have to update the patient information and to give them the status on what's going on with their medication and how to use it. I played a very important role in my job and I take it seriously because we are dealing with others medication for their health. With that being said I have to be careful on filling the correct medication for my patients and making sure that they get the right dosage as well. We speak with doctors, providers, pharmacists and healthcare workers in the field to make sure the patient have the medication they need. Transferring medication to different pharmacies was also another job I’ve done. If the patient is not able to pick up the medication at the location.
