Summary

I am an ecologist with over five years of progressive experience working with federal and state agencies throughout the Great Basin and the West. Mainly focused on botany, my diverse experience includes familiarity with post-fire and terrestrial vegetation monitoring, rangeland utilization methods, sage-grouse habitat identification and monitoring, vegetation classification, soil analysis, water resource identification and mapping, rangeland qualitative assessment, fieldwork planning and coordination, and technical writing. Professional Experience

Environmental Scientist/Rangeland Monitoring Lead Feb 2023 – Present

DJ&A, P.C., Reno, NV 40+ hours/week

●Coordinating and leading field crews throughout northern and central Nevada to collect data on a BLM indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract where DJ&A is the sole contractor.

●Developing price proposals for the NV BLM IDIQ contact.

●Through data collection and interpretation, assisting BLM meet monitoring requirements for permitted use, targeted grazing treatments, Lahontan cutthroat trout objectives, and various other rangeland projects statewide.

●Collecting high-quality data using established methods such as line-point intercept, double-weight production sampling, key species, use pattern mapping, height-weight, and Multiple Indicator Monitoring (MIM) and Proper Functioning Condition (PFC).

●Advanced use of Microsoft 365.

●Creating training protocols and leading training of new field staff in company procedures, field monitoring methods, and vehicle operation.
