Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with operator training, qualification, and re-certification.
Design, develop and present technical training material for refinery and operations employees.
Develop and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates to management on training department activities.
Responsible for managing training needs, conducting needs analysis, records management, training and managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
Accomplishments:
Designed, developed, and implemented an Operator progression, qualification, and recertification program, recognized as best in class within Valero and OSHAs VPP Program.
Successfully passed numerous audits (API, Valero, PSM, OSHA VPP, DOT….) with accolades.

Responsible for the daily operation of process units, permitting, safety, product quality, and environmental compliance.

Process Technician on the following units: Crude, Alky, SRU, FCC, Gas Con, Propylene, ULSD, and Sat Gas.
Console Process Technician on the following units: Alky, Propylene, and SRU’s.
Operations Unit Shift Supervisor for the following units: SRU, ULSD, Sat Gas.
Marine Inspector responsible for all incoming and outgoing oil and product movements.
Supervisor over the construction and startup of the following new units; SRU-B, ULSD & Sat Gas Units.
Refinery Shift Superintendent Backup.
Subject Matter Expert: for the Valero Ardmore refinery SRU startup.
Accomplishments:
Successful start-up of a SRU and ULSD unit with zero incidents, injuries, or environmental incidents.
