Job Skills: Serving as an Advance Disease Intervention Specialist, I have been able to communicate with patients that have a positive communicable disease (syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV) and making sure pt. information on HCV and HBV are entered into the system. In addition, educating patients and treating patients and working with a PHN officer and providers on making sure patients are treated along with partners. I conduct interviews with patients to get contact names of positive communicable disease cases. Also, have been trained with Passport Partner Services, HIV/HCV Test Counselor, Harm Reduction, COVID contact tracing and COVID testing along with conducting Phlebotomist blood draw and making field visit to patient’s home. I also take care of Harm Reduction and exchange used needles for new needles along with supplies. I also give out Naloxone and educate patients on how to administer. Furthermore, as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting along with a Mail Order Pharmacy setting, it recommended me to communicate with patients by interpreting in the Navajo language on how to administer the right amount of medication to patients. Inpatient Pharmacy I made up IV bags in a disclosure environment under the hoods of the laboratory in the Pharmacy area along with discharging patients. Filling medication orders. Refilling refills for chronic or acute patients. Work with glucose monitor, checked blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen level able to G-tube feed patients, changed linen, worked with mechanical lift and trained to do range of motions with patients. Communicate with patients in the United States in counseling patients on new products that are in the market. Inputting prescriptions in the computer. Read prescription terminology, counseling patients, raking refill request, dispense medication, filling medication, 55 WPM, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, filing, Coding ICD-9 and data entry medical insurance claims and banks statements also.
