Work History
Capital One
Senior Angular Developer May 2025-Present
Worked with Capital One’s credit card Preapproval website. With several unique workflows from the user-end, Sequoia’s code repo is designed to be generic and reusable with a grand design for scalability. A content management System (CMS) works in conjunction with Angular, making this position very front-end heavy. Testing responsibilities include Unit Testing (Jest) and End-to-End testing (Cypress).
Tech: iOS, Angular18, GitHub, Jira, Jest (Unit Testing), Cypress (E2E Testing)
Freddie-Mac
Full-Stack Developer Nov 2022-Apr 2025
Worked with a Secondary Mortgaging Company in developing web sites for internal and external use. Appropriated skills with proprietary Material libraries within an Angular environment. Full stack participation from Front-end Reactive forms to Micro-Services transactions in the backend. Became a key player in orchestrating and developing Micro-Frontend services for Angular. Working with the business team has expanded my abilities to be a more effective developer in a team context. Constantly engaged in Agile meetings from Story Planning to Story Refinements.
Tech: Angular15, Spring Boot, Atlassian Tools (Bitbucket, Jira), PostgreSQL
Spatial-Front
Front-End Engineer
Apr 2022-Oct 2022
Working in an Agile environment, I was contracted by the Census-Bureau to work on a form/table-based Web Application following a migration from AngularJS, to Angular2+. My workload is ticket-based (JIRA), and involves interacting with a Product Owner, Business Analysts, Testers, and peer Developers in the process of finishing my requirement-based tasks within a 3-week span. Using GitLab as a Version Source Control, tasks were developed in a Feature branch environment, and merged in after peer-review via Pull request. The residue of the framework migration has challenged me to enforce and improve best-practices ranging from Software Architecture, Design-Patterns (I.E. Singleton), and even Code-Readability.
Tech: Angular2+, Spring (Boot), Git-Lab, Jira, Toad, PHP
REI-Systems
Full Stack Engineer Jan 2021 – Mar 2022
Worked within an Agile (Scrum) environment with 2-week sprints. Developed Web applications through multiple environments and developmental phases beginning with Mockups and Wireframes to Production. Pull-Requests were engaged in conjunction with a peer-review. Engaged in responsibilities, including:
• Heavy collaboration with team designer and business analyst
• Front-end Web development (form-based) primarily using Angular,
Angular Material, and reusable NPM libraries.
• Implementing business use-cases via mockup-diagrams.
• Creating Rest-APIs for back-end calls.
• Utilizing Jenkins and other Dev-Ops tools.
• Demo Presentations for contracting clients (FEMA).
• Composing BDD Test Cases (Cucumber-Serenity).
• Automated Testing Framework embedded within Intelli-J to test
business use cases derived from pre-existing Acceptance
Criteria specified in corresponding Jira Tickets.
Tech: Angular2+, Spring (Boot), PSQL, Jira, Git-Hub, BDD Cucumber Serenity, Jenkins, AWS, Azure, Microsoft Active Directory
Capital One
Software Engineer
Mar 2020-Apr 2020
Engaged in reactive and marketing reward-based credit card upgrades.
• Responsibilities include: Tearing down and re-provisioning clusters in
Jenkins and AWS, migrating database script and Scala logic, creating
generic email templates, creating a workflow feature in a dashboard
with Angular Material.
• Create features for analytics control panel (via Angular) which
displays metrics, monitoring, and control switches for our platform.
• Utilized EMR to spin up ECS clusters via command line and
Databricks to run spark-based Scala queries to analyze big data.
• All Jira stories eventually deployed and released to production from
Dev/QA environments.
• CI/CD pipeline testing and deployments within all environments via
Jenkin jobs.
Technologies: Angular2+, Spring Boot, Jenkins, AWS (S3, ECS, EC2, EMR, IAM, SG, VPC), Docker, Spark, MongoDB, Linux, Kibana, Erato-code, Sphinx, GitHub, Slack

Angular 13 (+Material)/Excel, Google Domains/Google Cloud
A Portfolio Website that has evolved through six versions to present day. With the intent of developing a well-rounded Website, hundreds of hours were invested in design research and resources-gathering. Every succeeding version leverages the takeaways from the previous version salvaging reusable code and design (I.E. responsiveness, SCSS). My Web development skills can be attested through the progression of all six versions (Links available at www.chrisyou.com). It is (currently) hosted by Google Cloud (Storage Bucket) and Google Domains. Source code can be found on GitHub (All six versions).
