Dear Hiring Manager,
My name is Taylor Marr and I'm interested in the Pest & Wildlife Technician position. I have a proven ability to learn through my studies at Brock University (Biological Sciences) where I studied many different sciences including earth science, plant science, botany, chemistry, insect behaviour, animal behaviour, paleontology, statistics, earth science and more. I have experience working with all types of plants, land animal care, working in irrigation, cultivation, research and development, quality control, insect and pest management, data collection, air quality, breeding, drilling, sampling, organic growing, hydroponic growing, and growing in soil with synthetic nutrients. During my time at Brock University, I completed lab work with water testing, insect behaviour, plant surveying, field trials, mycology petri dish tests, and more. I have strong time management and organizational ability, a great work ethic shown through my experience at Aecom in their archaeology department, as a Picker/Packer at John Deere, working at multiple greenhouses with trees, flowers and cannabis, as a cook at multiple kitchens, Marineland working with the land animals, and working as a forklift operator at warehouse during my time with Toyota Manufacturing. I'm trained to work safely from these positions as they take great pride in their safety practices. I enjoy learning new things, problem solving, communication, anything science related, and have the ability to work well under pressure while meeting deadlines within a team environment. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss my resume.
Thanks,
Taylor Marr
