WORK & EXPERIENCE
Google, Software Engineer – Kirkland, WA July 2021 – March 2024
• Designed and implemented a system in c++ to automatically find and clean up residual plx assets generated for validation purposes.
• Wrote a design document on how to successfully transition a website which was used for a singular validation project to extend its functionality to supporting multiple projects.
• Wrote a design document for customers to self-onboard projects to a validation system.
• Implemented migration for customers who needed to make a quick transition to a more reliable validation system.
• Upgraded the compliance system used for a validation system to a new security level.
• Migrated a subset of a codebase which used an outdated API for retrieving memberships to the most recent version. Google, Software Engineering Intern – Bellevue, WA May – August 2020
• Designed and implemented changes in c++ to help bring a complex, privacy-sensitive system into privacy and security compliance.
• Worked within established review, test, and experimentation processes to ensure safe and high-quality rollouts.
• Wrote a design document to generalize the functionality I added, bringing about a reduction in new code added to the system.
• Fixed assigned bugs and refactored code in a complex c++ codebase to improve navigability. Google, Engineering Practicum Intern – New York, NY May – August 2019
• Wrote a design document to build a system for verifying correct enforcement of critical Ads behavior served in Google Ad Manager.
• Implemented the verification code in C++ using several internal Google libraries and services.
• Integrated the verification pipeline with several data sources such as databases and logs.
• Wrote a script to generate fake data for testing implemented code that enforced ads behavior. Google, Engineering Practicum Intern- Sunnyvale, CA May – August 2018
• Wrote a design document including explanation of the Chromium clang sheriff automation project (LLVM, Clang and Chromium databases) and discussed fixes to related issues.
• Added a new flag to clang to enable the compiler store crash reports in someplace other than the default system temp directory, simplifying the process of transferring crashes to a Google cloud storage bucket.
• Wrote an uploader script and integrated the script with Chromium buildbots to automatically store crash reports to a Google cloud storage bucket that was created, thereby making crashes readily accessible to engineers.
• Eliminated the need to re-run time consuming Chromium builds locally to reproduce compiler crashes. Google/AMC Hackathon Project March 2017
• Collaborated with a team of hackers for 24 hours to design and build an example of a more efficient University administration website.
