PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENENCE

MIT LINCOLN LABORATORY Lexington, MA

RF/Microwave System Design Engineer Aug 2017-Dec 2024

•Designed, modeled, characterized, and field-tested experimental military RF communication systems; led full custom RF system and fixture development from initial architecture and cascade analysis through component selection, build-out, system integration, and test execution.

•Designed and set up end-to-end test environments for military radios operating over SATCOM, MANET, and ad hoc networks; configured radios and supporting systems on both Linux and Windows platforms, and conducted performance testing using Wireshark, Ostinato, and MGEN to evaluate connectivity, throughput, data rates, and protocol compliance.

•Waveform knowledge includes Link-16, TTNT, CDL, ANW2.

•Military radio expertise includes QNT, PRC-117G, SINGARS, LVT-1/11, MIDS-JTRS.

•Prototyped and analyzed multi-node RF systems using VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes; supported RF radio hardware integration and performance validation.

•Designed, modeled, and tested high-performance RF PCBs, including RF Front-End (RFFE) modules, true time delay boards, band-pass filters (BPF), and bias tees using LTSpice, MATLAB, ADIsimRF, and KiCad.

•Designed and built novel custom analog AWGN generation hardware at 1/10th the cost of a COTS solution; validated AWGN characteristics via IQ data capture using Pentek Talon and MATLAB analysis of cross-correlation, PSD, linearity, and Gaussianity.

•Designed, modeled, built, and tested a wideband heterodyne RF transceiver, including frequency plan development, mixer and LO chain selection, IF filtering, and MATLAB-based cascade analysis for system-level performance metrics such as gain, noise figure, and linearity.

•Contributed RF design and test support to PACECR, Heimdall, CTEN and TAB programs, ensuring performance across key technical milestones for the AIR FORCE (AERIAL NETWORKS DIVISION (AFLCMC/HNA))

ANALOG DEVICES Chelmsford, MA

Engineering Specialist, Sep 2015-Aug 2017

•Oversaw development and implementation of test solutions to characterize low noise, high gain, broadband gain, variable gain, and power amplifiers.

•Managed full RF test characterization of RF and microwave amplifiers design evaluation through to product release.

•Ensured optimal test results by creating and modifying files to control test execution.

•Measured a variety of variables, including noise figure, small signal S-parameters, compression, harmonics, and IP3.

COBHAM ADVANCED ELECTRONICS SOLUTIONS, Exeter, NH

RF and Electronics Test Technician II, Oct 2011-Aug 2015

•Responsible for testing and tuning of key applications, including band-pass filters for insertion loss, return loss, and rejection, switchable duplexers, coupler, adapters, and sub-assemblies, as well as all rotary joints.

•Administered set-up, calibration, and testing from test specification DC-50GHz waveguide and coaxial.

•Managed LNA testing for gain and noise figure.
