PROFILE
I am in the final stages of my Construction, Renovation, and Carpentry program at George Brown College. My decision to relocate from Quebec to Toronto was driven by my desire to study construction. After gaining initial experience as a helper for a year, I advanced to an apprenticeship with a general contractor
Experience
For nearly a year and a half, I did a lot of physical work, including lifting heavy loads. During that time, I also learned how construction sites operate and how construction actually works. I did a lot of demolition work during that period
During that time, I learned the importance of respecting deadlines, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, properly storing tools, understanding the relevant regulations, and collaborating effectively with everyone involved.
Following that, I joined a general contractor, and that's where I still work today. It's been an incredible experience, as it has allowed me to work both outdoors and indoors, which I've particularly enjoyed. I've had the opportunity to practically apply the knowledge I gained in college and to further develop my technical skills, whether in carpentry, drafting, working with people, cost estimation, financial management, and even in purchasing quality materials. Education
I completed all my schooling in Quebec, so I speak French very well. I stopped my studies at CEGEP and moved to another province in the interior. During my time in CEGEP, I changed programs several times. During the summer break before the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked for a construction company. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decided to go into construction just before the health crisis. Since then, I've been passionate about construction.

SKILLS
Drawing on my carpentry training and professional experience, I have mastered a range of essential techniques in the field of construction and exterior landscaping. My academic curriculum has allowed me to develop solid expertise in framing and structural work, as well as fundamental skills in drywall installation, plumbing, electrical work, and ventilation. I am also proficient in painting and various finishing tasks, such as patching, installing bulkheads, and baseboards. In addition, my work has equipped me to carry out landscaping projects from start to finish and to build decks with significant technical skill
One of the features of my program is the integration of new technologies, particularly concerning ecological houses and their various options. I have also been trained in the construction of this type of housing, as well as in the renovation of houses, whether old or new I am particularly interested in any contract opportunity and am open to considering short or long-term engagements. My experience allows me to adapt to a variety of projects and contexts, and I am eager to explore the possibilities that arise.
