• Improving the efficiency of dysarthria voice conversion(DVC) based on Data Augmentation Publication [1]

Yuh-Jer(Edward) Chang - Page 1 of 2

Last updated in June 2025

Contributed to DVC system in the part of data augmentation by using text to speech (TTS) technique

Focusing on real-time transformation of converting dysarthria patients’ unclear speech into normal speech by using WaveGlow Vocoder

• Improvement of music listening appreciation on Cochlear Implant (CI) users Publication [2]

Utilized Source Separation Model to separate different components in real-time music

Proposed a self-adjustment method for subjects on the separated components to overcome variability of preference in listening among cochlear implant (CI) users

Applied both objective evaluation (SAR, SIR, SDR) and subjective evaluation (MUSHRA test) to demon- strate effectiveness of this method and achieved better results than the baseline model

• Classification of Schizophrenia Patients based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) technique

Publication [3]

Preprocessed speech data into text by applying Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technique

Developed baseline models for classifying text data on schizophrenia patients Otolaryngology and Rhinology Department, Cheng Hsin General Hospi- tal

Research Assistant Advisors: Ying-Hui Lai, Ph.D. and Po-Hung, Li, M.D., Ph.D. Taipei, Taiwan

Aug. 2022 – Jan. 2024

•Clinical Experiment on Cochlear Implant Users Publication [2]

Established the whole protocol and experiment procedure for collecting CI Users listening to music with vocal and non-vocal components

Collected more than 10 CI users for subjective evaluation method in person for further clinical analysis Leadership Experience
