EMPLOYMENT
•Hope Health, FQHC Clinic – October 2021 to June 2025 – as a medical biller, I billed all charges to Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial and self-pay that came from adult providers, pediatricians, Women’s Health, Behavior Health (counselors, psychologists, psychiatry), dental and labs; audit Lab Corp. In February 2025 my position changed to Patient Relations Specialist. With that position, I confirmed appointments with patients, verified all insurances (Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial) and help patients in any way if they had concerns or questions about their insurance.
•Brookshires Food and Pharmacy – May 2019 to June 2022-as a certified pharmacy technician I answered phones, check in/out customers, typed prescriptions, counted non-controlled and controlled medications, kept track with inventory on a daily basis, helped providers with DME to allow customers to get their equipment on a timely manner and helped the pharmacist with any and all questions that pertained to the customers.
• Red Oak Junior High School – 2008 to 2010-as a special education teacher which consisted of 15 students. I taught all core classes. I was involved in the ARD meetings, I prepared lesson plans each week that pertained to each student’s needs, kept parents up to date with their child and any issues that had to be addressed weekly. Was involved in their extra activities that pertained to school. Helped other teachers that had concerns about the students when in their classes.
•Tom Thumb Food and Pharmacy – 1990-2019 -as a clerk/pharmacy technician, I worked in the video section of the store. I answered phone calls, helped customers, handle the cash register, and kept up with inventory. Then I transferred to the pharmacy where I answered phones, typed prescriptions, filed, counted drugs for the pharmacist, pulled/put up drugs, inventory, checked in/out patients(during this time it was not required to be certified in a pharmacy). As a certified pharmacy technician I answered phones, check in/out patients, type prescriptions, check in the order, make sure invoices are correct (Mckesson, Anda, etc), put/pull up drugs, count prescriptions for the pharmacist, keep prescriptions filed on a daily basis, keep pharmacy clean and organized, bill Medicare B and D with proper diagnosis codes for prescriptions and vaccinations, help patients with their Workman’s Comp to make sure customer’s got their prescription(s) quickly and make sure all supplies are ordered on a daily basis to keep the pharmacy running smoothly, answer any questions that patients have that pertain to their insurance.
•Dr. William Kempe – 1997-1998- as a front desk receptionist, I answered phones, checked in/out patients, filed, made sure nurses received notes/questions from patients.
•Dr. Judith Werner – 1998 -2000-as a front desk receptionist, I answered phones, checked in/out patients, filed charts, processed referrals for patients to see a specialist, precertified patients to be admitted into the hospital or to have a procedure done and called in prescriptions to pharmacies, verified insurances for patients on Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial.
