OVERVIEW
I am a team player with strong communication and proofreading skills. As well as having an eye for detail and an ability to multi-task in both an academic and business environment, I possess strong editing, researching, and creative writing skills. I have taught and created syllabi for high school and college courses, which improved student performance at all levels of writing and analysis of American and British Literature. My ability to analyze, synthesize and organize written material for content, clarity and importance has been valuable in legal document review, teaching English and reviewing advertising copy. While working in advertising my job was to edit and proof copy for copyright trademark violations. Working with account executives and attorneys has broaden my ability to communicate and evaluate important detail as well as translate complex ideas into a simpler form. While teaching Technical Writing at Virginia Commonwealth University, Developmental Writing at John Tyler Community College and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, I met all required deadlines and organized multiple tasks while adapting to new audiences and solving new problems. In law firms I have organized tax supplements and recently worked in the Medicaid Fraud Division of the State Attorney General’s Office where I participated in the production inner office manuals.
