Responsibilities
I was hired for Part-time/24 hours a week but at times hours increased depending on our census or any staffing issues.
I switched over to full time in May, 2021, I work 36-40 hours a week in an Acute Care setting at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte NC. I work with each patient to help them optimize their current level of functional mobility through gait training (with & without assistive devices), bed mobility, transfer training, strength and balance training, ADL's, as well as, home exercise education/& safety in the home environment. In providing care, it is my goal as a LPTA, to help ensure each one of my patients makes progress, to regain their former level of functional independence, or at the very least, reach a higher level of mobility. I help patients improve their quality of living by applying physical therapy to help patients perform ADL's and other functional mobility tasks with increased independence in preparation to return home, or if unable, to prepare them to discharge to their next level of care. For those patients who are able to return home, I provide patient & family education, to help ensure a safe return home. Skills Used

Full time missionary; hours varied between working with the ministry and being a Mom. Responsibilities:
Discipleship to rescued girls in our ministry, assisted in teaching English to the children in the ministry, evangelism & food ministry in the impoverished communities around the city, and help in leading of U.S. short term mission teams.
Skills Used:
Communication in Spanish; building of relationships with the children in the ministry and in the Latino community. Discipleship in Spanish with the girls in the ministry/tutoring/ and occasional assisting to teach English to the kids in the ministry. Lastly, I assisted with the leading of US teams in the impoverished communities to do ministry.

Responsibilities
I worked as a PRN LPTA (hours varied weekly) in an Inpatient Rehab at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, NC. I worked with patients who had suffered from a stroke, various orthopedic issues (post-surgical), Guillian Barre, amputees, etc. Gait training, muscle strengthening/conditioning, ADL training, modality use for pain management or strengthening, occasional wound care, and writing of short-term goals to coincide with the PT’s long term goals. I worked alongside other team members (OT's, PT's, COTA's, Speech therapists) in our Rehab department.
Accomplishments
I helped patients regain (or improve) strength, balance/coordination, ability to perform ADL’s, and gait training. I helped many patients regain their functional mobility, strength, balance, while increasing their independence so they could return home to independent living, as well as, to their job. In some cases patients had to move to a SNF or with family members, but as a therapist I worked to get them as independent as possible.

Responsibilities
Full Time position. I worked 40 hours a week. Applied principles of physical therapy to help children of all ages with severe & profound handicaps. I worked on stretching of muscles through myofascial release, strengthening exercises within a normal ROM, use of standing frame, gait training with the use of different mobility devices, and etc.
Accomplishments
Able to straighten a child's spinal column through myofascial release, increased mobility, ROM, improved weight bearing, and pain relief.
