Logistics Support Services – Ships Agent
Responsible for organizing, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the port call, from booking berth, allocations and services ahead of the vessel’s arrival to finalizing the accounts and other paperwork after vessel has sailed.
Required to be fully conversant with the safety, commercial and statutory requirements and regulations applicable to the port.
Ensure the vessel complies fully to ensure that no delays are caused as a result of failure to meet its obligations.
Planning, organizing and coordinating the port call, acting on behalf of the owner or operator of the vessel.
Solicits cargo on behalf of the owner or operator, operations manager and agency supervisor to ensure client satisfaction.
Manage shore staff and crew changes to ensure items are handled swiftly and in a cost – effective manner.
Negotiate terms with suppliers such as prices, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
Identify and liaise with suppliers regarding updates and details of goods and services.
Develop marketing strategies, objectives and targets.
Procurement according to company processes and procedures.
Responsible for marketing and new client acquisition.
Analize invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.

Bourbon Logistics / Port-Jetty Operations-Supervisor Responsibilities & Duties:
•Responsible for cargo (CCU's, baskets, skips, half heights and tanks) certificate verification.
•OCC - (offshore container certificate or COC - certificate of conformance).
•OEM - (Original equipment manufacturer.) Certificate for lifting sets and shackles from a recognized supplier.
•Third party inspection certificate for CCU's, shackles and sling sets.
•Four yearly NDT inspection for CCU lifting points.
•Responsible to verify the packing list of each unit to be discharged or loaded out from and too the vessel as per instruction.
•Ensure that good safety standards are maintained for all operation at the berth.
•Prepare all unit certificate checks prior to discharge or loading out from and to the vessels as per instruction.
•Prepare the Load and Discharge list.
•Segregate all loads to be discharged from the vessel on quayside for collection.
•Coordinate with HSE and logistics representative about all units for and from waste management.
•Coordinate with lifting supervisor prior to loading the vessel about deck planning.
•Update CCU unit register daily.
•Utilizes internal program to plan, coordinate and follow all movements of material and products, on the jetty to/from vessel.
•Responsible for IMDG, MARPOL, SOLAS documentation.
•Implement corrective action when required.
•In charge for marine spread reporting, KPI for cargo transportation. Responsible for bunkering operations and tank cleaning operations.
