Accepted an early retirement opportunity after a 30 year career with USPS. Held positions of Lead Sales and Service Associate, Bulk Mail Acceptance Associate, Assistant to Postmaster, Distribution, Passport Acceptance Agent and Mail Distribution.
Provided direct sales and customer service in a retail office, consisting of selling Postal products, stamps, money orders, shipping supplies, PO Box rental, Passport Photos and Passport acceptance, and shipping/mailing options.
Qualified with Point of Sale and Retail Systems Software. Managed appearance of office lobby, by keeping it stocked with products for sale, forms, packing materials, and promotional information. Responsible for opening duties, making sure all required reports were complete, stamp stock and cash were set up, and all mail had been sorted and securely delivered to PO Box customers and Postal carriers. Made sure the office was well maintained with sufficient inventory of all current products and supplies.
Verified other sales personnell close out reports and cash reporting. Perfomed end of day sales reports and bank deposits. As a bulk mail clerk, I was responsible for verifying large Bulk Mail Acceptance Mailings at the mailers warehouses. Completed required verifications and documentation before witnessing mail being loaded onto USPS trailer and sealed to be ready for dispatch.
