Patrol Officer in the field responding to citizen complaints, traffic investigations, robberies, burglaries and other police related matters.
1984-2003
Anti-prostitution unit. Detective in an undercover capacity to enforce prostitution laws which entailed solicitation, escort services, massage parlors, adult book stores, stings and criminal activity in the public sector.
Inventoried and cataloged all evidence for use in pending criminal trials/lawsuits, coordinated secure transfer of evidence to proper storage location pending trial.
Sexual assault unit. Detective investigating sexual assaults. Arrests and interrogation of suspects and interviewing witnesses, collection of evidence. Preparing reports and processing documentation for prosecution at trial, in addition to victim / witness protection and confidentiality.
Drug Enforcement Unit. Detective responsible for narcotic trafficking and related activity in local and county areas. Cooperated in partnership with other local law enforcement agencies on state and federal level.
Targeted suspected offenders of controlled substances, conducted investigations,
surveillance, applied for and obtained search warrants, arrested offenders, interrogation and case management.
