For the past * years, I have been working on the Modernizing Claims Processing (MCP) project with the US Department of Veterans’ Affair (VA). My work includes:
●Analyzing existing work processes to identify areas for automation
●Writing requirements (functional and user-centered) for the development and implementation of these automation solutions
●Facilitating discovery and product development between subject matter experts, field users and the development team
As the lead in two of the MCP workstreams (Business Process Improvements and User-centered Design), I work with the Engineering and Data teams to develop solutions which support the existing framework within the VA’s Benefits Administration department.
Outcomes:
By working with the various teams and stakeholders, I was able to help VA define problem spaces within the vast and complex system of benefits administration, and support the VBA’s goal of delivering benefits to Veterans in a timely and efficient manner.
