Hopkinsville Community College, Hopkinsville, KY Semesters: Fall 1995 - Spring 1997, also Fall 2009 – Spring 2010 •General courses and I didn’t receive a degree. My major was Nursing.

Experience:

Todd County Public Library, Elkton, KY Circulation Clerk, Children’s Librarian and

Technician (copier, fax machine etc.) August 1995 – December 28, 2009

•In charge of opening and closing the library daily. • Also went to buy books and supplies that were needed. • Answered phone calls, sent and received faxes, made copies, microfilm (help patrons with use of the machine), changed cartridges for all equipment and etc...

•Checked in and out books for patrons. • Catalog books, typed spine labels on typewriter, shelved books, read shelves to be put in Dewey Decimal order, checked book drop daily and etc. • Helped patrons when needed with reference questions, internet or whatever they needed it when they entered the library. • I also schedule story hours for preschoolers and programs for the Summer Reading Program every year. In 2009, we had a total of 498 children that attended that year. • I have also worked with all age groups, ethnic backgrounds and genders. (This was my one and only adult job).

Other jobs:

Throughout my 4 years in high school the 1st was my freshman's year, I worked in the lunch cafeteria during my lunch break. After school, I work April - May at nights for Flynn's

Enterprise in Elkton, KY that was through Flynn’s itself. I also worked for Piggly Wiggly in

Elkton, KY about 2 years through a JTPA program. Summer, Todd County Park in Elkton, KY; my 9th & 10th grade, I worked the concession stand through a JTPA program. Todd County Public Library in Elkton, KY; my 11th & 12th grade, through the JTPA program.

Skills:

Computers: Microsoft office, print shop for making business cards, posters, signs, banners, know how to access the internet, etc. However I'm willing to learn and be taught new skills.
