I perform lab testing in crude oil per customer request and ASTM standards. Run day to day SQC standards and calibration on instrumentation. Pick up samples from customer locations when needed. Fill out all proper chain of custody paper work. Keep track of job information and testing results on paper and then double check them and inter them in company data base. Keep track of all retained samples for specified time frame and then dispose of pass due samples per OSHA requirements.

Issues that arise during drilling process

2011-March 2012 Cathedral Energy Services

The past 6 months I have been a mwd field hand for Cathedral Energy. I have ran mud pulse for most jobs for them but I also when to Canada for month to learn how to run EM tool and have ran it in the field . I have ran different surface system such as digi drill and bench tree system I have also ran power logger with the EM tool. I have performed all duties required by a MWD hand from rig up and rig down trouble shooting down hole issues, making logs, doing daily reports, shipping tickets, failure reports and communicating info with all who needs it from company man to geologist back to my office.

2010-2011 Great White Directional Services

MWD shop department- Pulsar lab. Responsibilities are to rebuild and maintain the camber pulsar and the APS rotary pulsar. Duties include troubleshooting failures and preparing the APS rotary pulsar for specific jobs using current job specification such as mud weight, GPM, and TVD, to insure proper specification per job. Updating failure reports downloading job information extracted for the equipment per job. Detail tool history, tracking and note taking. Assist in analyzing tool applications for each specific job.

2009-2010 Abraham Steel

Duties include the ability to read field plans, shop blue print drawings in order to fabricate steel in accordance with all shop and safety specifications, also the ability to safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment such as a forklift, punch, sheer, break, band-saws, welders, plasma cutters, etc. in shop or field. Also for the past year I have been running our water jet cutting equipment and the shop lead man, assisting with everything from running the shop to training new hirer and making sure we met our customer dead lines “no matter what”.

2008-2009 Drill Right Technology

I worked on the Blue Star Downhole tool in the MWD department at Drill Right. My duties were to rebuild and maintain the pulser part of the tool. After every job I would look at the run report and at the performance of that tool. If the tool ran with no problems then I would tear it down and replace all the consumed parts. If there was a problem or failure I would test the tool and try to recreate the failure and then tear the tool all the way down and fill out a detailed report as I go threw the tool and all the electronics of it.

2007-2008 Shlumburger

During my employment at Shlumburger I was part of the coil tubing department. My duties were to operate the pump truck out on site in the field during the coil tubing operation.

2006-2007 Baker Hughes Inteq.

During the year I have been in the Teleco department at Baker Hughes Inteq. My duties were to maintain the teleco. Check electrical components and overlooked tools for any problems we might have so we can prevent any failures. I also troubleshot failures that we do have that come back from the field. My other duties were to program tools. I have also past my wellbore positioning a computer based training CD Baker Hughes gives their field hands. I have spent some time on oil rigs with my brother learning what I could about MWD.
