I would appreciate being considered for the role. As a result, I believe I would be ideal candidate as:
-have been involved in discussing, designing, specifying and closing electrical & automation applications incld process, controls, safety, networking, mechanical, drives & motion and computers/servers/thin clients/virtualization alongside HMI/SCADA with customers for 36 years. Since 2010, have done work as a project engineer for Rockwell, Siemens, Agilix and as a Project Manager for Honeywell, Siemens, Agilix, Edgewater & PMD. In total, have 7 years project management and 11 years project engineering experience. I have always had to be familiar with the actual production equipment itself in order to be able to do all the associated automation but HW, Edgewater & now PMD have taught me in depth on the mechanical side.
-have been part of water-waste water teams, earned my TUV safety certification on machine and process safety and deepened my knowledge of instrumentation and process automation. Previously I had earned my Cisco certification and learned & implemented Industrial Ethernet, acted as an automation & motion product & sales manager, headed up the technical and sales activities for legacy automation systems migration & modernization for the whole country, and acted as a SME for a sales group for an entire automation product & solution portfolio.
-Have worked with a broad range of customers (OEM, SI & End User) in a variety of industries incld. Oil & Gas [i.e. Chevron, Williams], pharma [i.e. Baxter], spec chem [i.e. Indorama, Arkema, BASF], water- waste water [i.e. city of Pensacola, city of Dothan], food & bev [i.e. Smuckers, Kelloggs, Kraft], automotive [Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, GM], mining [i.e. CAT], metals [i.e. Nucor, TK], material handling & tracking [Fedex, Amazon, Walmart] in a variety of applications ranging from batch & process control, pumping & material handling, general assembly, packaging applications, etc.
-joining your company would be my 4th personal voluntary choice in my year working life and today am a US citizen, living & raising my family in the USA [am originally from Canada]. My resume explains the transition between companies and am performing well in my current role but the company appears to have underlying financial issues as a # of staff have been laid off. My interest in you is so I can focus on the industrial automation itself without the sales piece and for a secure permanent role.
-am goal oriented, organized, self-managed & part of a larger team, focused on success. Can provide references from automation manufacturers, companies and personal sources.
Thank you,
Robert Darling,
