OBJECTIVE
I worked in the music industry for ** years, but my objective is to find interesting employment, possibly in a different field.
I have worked in the music industry for many(39) years and I find that I gravitate towards the sciences in my middle age.
I have gone to school for Art, Art history, Philosophy, Ancient history, and the German language. In the last few years I have been using the Khan academy as a continuing education tool, and have been teaching myself Math(because I was never very proficient at it), as well as chemistry, astronomy, cosmology, particle physics, world history, anatomy/physiology, science history, et al. At present my skill set is fairly specific, but I am capable of learning just about anything, and I spend a majority of my free time learning new things because I am fascinated by the world around me. I come in in the morning and put together paperwork for my deliveries, and then I load it into my vehicle. My route takes me through Rochester, LaCrosse and Winona, and then I usually have a very lovely drive up highway 61 back to our hub in Apple Valley.

My job there is to coordinate and make sure events happen as planned. I work with the acts that are hired to determine the order, and length of peoples sets, and also serve as a liaison between the club and the hired acts.
It's often a lot of fun because I frequently get to work with people I have known for many years. Soundman

I have a hot rod that I built myself, and through doing that I've become a fairly accomplished auto mechanic in my spare time.
I also study a lot of science in my spare time, specifically; Particle physics, Astronomy/Cosmology, Chemistry, Anatomy/Physiology, Math, and Science History. I suppose I should also add that I was a guitar player in punk rock and alterna-metal bands for a number of years. You can actually see me on you tube if you like. I come from a family of classically trained musicians, and am the only person in our family who has ever made money being involved in music.
I love building models, specifically models of Science fiction vehicles, and am exceptionally good at detail work.
I'm also extremely adept at fixing things, all kinds of things. In fact, when I was younger and homeless in San Francisco, fixing things for people brought in much needed extra cash.

I started working here when I was young, and was privileged to work and play in the Minneapolis music scene during one of its heydays.
I learned how to do a variety of music and entertainment industry jobs. I started out as a doorman and a floorwalker, picking up trash, bussing tables, and working concert security.
I eventually was trained as a Bartender, and worked very busy shifts with a friend of mine who to this day is still a Mpls. Bartending icon.
Eventually, a local music legend took me under his tutelage and taught me how to be a Sound Engineer, which has been my primary source of employment for 21 years now. Barback/Security

I lived in San Francisco in 1994 and 1995 back when ordinary people could afford to live there. I worked for a venue called the Trocadero, which at one point in the late 70s was the the largest gay nightclub in the country.
By the time I worked there, it was primarily a rental facility that outside promoters would book events at. I did a variety of things there, from maintainance to concert security and putting up flyers for up coming shows in other neighborhoods of the city.
