JOB PROFILE: -

Responsible for monitoring & reviewing project specifications, material specifications, P&ID, area classification drawings, cable schedule, cabinet and junction box design, cable and conduit routings, equipment and cable tray layouts, fire & gas detector layouts, instrument plot plan, hook- up diagrams, loop and logic diagrams and instrument data

Responsible for the instrument scope to ensure the Contractor and sub-contractors perform the work to agreed scope of work, specifications and schedules all to an acceptable standard.

Checking of P&ID and Piping Isometrics to ascertain that there are no mismatches. In case of mismatch, inform Lead Engineer for raising SER

Carrying out execution as per the set targets and monthly / weekly plan with the available manpower and resources.

Follow up with contractors to mobilize the required manpower and resources to achieve the set targets.

Responsible for the instrument Project staff aspect of Risk Management to ensure all risks / opportunities are identified and appropriate controls / mitigations developed and implemented.

Supervise the contractor and sub-contractor personnel to ensure contractor performs all work to agreed standards for safety, health and environment and to attaining high levels of HSE performance.

Monitor, review and approve construction documentation to support timely construction installation and completion.

Verify with other disciplines for excavation clearance for instrumentation cable trenches.

Able to review and interpret Instrument engineering drawings and check /assist the construction sub-contractor works are being performed as per IFC drawings.

Planning & Assist / guide job tasks and work as per project schedules and report daily on the progress and site issues.

Plan stepwise commissioning details according to the overall procedure and instruct commissioning crews and or subcontractor for the necessary action.

Responsible for completion of Loop checking of all field Instrument and Handling of DCS and ESD system Alarm & trip setting, cause & effect checking, Logic checking.

Installation of field Instrument / hook-up, cable termination works, Knowledge on System Mechanical Completion, co-ordinate with client for the system/sub-system walk down, capture / close -out punch list, Co-ordinate with QC for day to day RFI and carry-out inspection along with company and close out of Inspection and Test Record related to Construction Activity.

Preparing master data sheet for PM schedule; ensuring safe and efficient performing of CM.

Looking after installation of field instruments like Pressure/ Temperature/ Flow/ Level transmitters, moisture/ vibration/ gas/ smoke detectors, fusible network (deluge system) as per P&ID, hook-up and plot plan.

Hands on experience on all types of process field instruments (pressure, flow, level and temperature elements, transmitters, valves, MOV’s, controllers and communicators Commissioning the HART and Field Bus Digital Valve Controllers (DVC, FISHER) with Delta V control system and doing Partial Stroke Test for the ESD and BDV valves.

Connecting package systems with AMS (Asset Management System) systems and configuration of Multiplexers, Transmitter detection, calibration and loop checking using AMS system.

Responsible for planning & execution for new project & commissioning work, expansion/renovation work, regular maintenance work and routine checkup of plant instrument.

Responsible for shut down planning of Instrumentation work, shift manpower utilization & Emergency situations in plant.

Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation for inclusion in the site test dossier.

Review of control philosophy, P&I diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, instruments list, flow chart.

Installation, calibration and loop checking of the field instruments ( Emerson Rosemount, ABB, Endress & Hauser, Bently Nevada, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Vega, Polysonics )

Preparation and review of control system specific documents list of latest revision like I/O list, Marshaling cabinet wiring diagram, Loop diagram, Cause and Effect diagram, Logic diagram, System architecture, Control philosophy document Plant code, Area code & Unit code wise for Control system installation.

Basic contract management/ vendor management at different stages of project.

Study of drawing and specifications applicable to the specific job. Areas of Expertise and Exposure:-
