I have experience working as a cashier in the food service industry as well as a Security Officer, Receptionist, and in logistics . I greet all customers with a friendly smile and make them feel welcome. Some responsibilities that I had were to handle incoming phone calls, managing the cash register and handling money, including end of day closing of register. For my other experience I would take phone calls and direct the call based on extension number or the person/department they are trying to reach. I would input data in the Computer and send it to my manager . Working at a Logistics site, my main role was to Check in Truck drivers at the guard shack, make sure if they had an appointment to verify the documents and let Shipping or receiving know what company has arrived . Before the truck driver left the warehouse I would check the paperwork and make sure the seal and trailer matched the paperwork . Or when I would work at the truckers cage, I would have the truck drivers sign in, and based on what company they were I would have to scan them before entering the warehouse to do their countings. I managed paperwork and would give it to shipping or receiving when handed to me by the truck drivers . I had paperwork given to me by the warehouse clerk and would have to give it to the company it corresponded .
I also worked for the Illinois Department of employment Security through a 3rd party company name Insight global, i Used Microsoft excel everyday and input information about each call I receive in regards to what type of IT help claimants need. I also used Microsoft Excel when I make calls that are scheduled and verifying claimant submitted all ID verification documents. I know how to navigate quickly thru screens and be on the phone with claimants back to back. The contract insight global had with IDES ended in may due to Funds not being available So we got hired for a New contract for Indiana in mid May. At my most current job location I am still working with Insight global but as a contractor for AES Indiana which is an electric company. I manage inbound and outbound calls daily helping customers connect disconnect their services, we also transfer their services and do credit checks to see if deposits are required. We also help customers read their bills and help them understand their kilowatt usage, and advise customers based on their bill how they can lower its or better manage as far as setting them up on arrangement plans. We deal with 3 different computer screens daily with 2 different systems, my communication with my coworkers and team lead is through Microsoft teams, outlook, and we use Experian for credit checks.
