• As an Able Seaman, it’s my responsibility to keep the vessel in top condition. I handle tasks like chipping, painting, and securing cargo, always making sure the deck is safe and efficient. These duties might seem routine, but they play a big role in the overall safety and performance of the ship.
• I also take part in watchkeeping, especially during critical operations like navigation and docking. Whether I’m at the helm, assisting officers, or keeping a sharp lookout, I know that staying alert and dependable is essential. My role in these moments supports the bridge team and helps keep the vessel on course and out of danger.
• Being ready for emergencies is a major part of my job. I actively join drills, operate safety gear, and stay prepared for any situation. Knowing the crew can count on me during high-pressure scenarios gives me pride and reinforces the importance of being calm, capable, and committed at sea. SKILLS
