Transformative design solutions that re-brand entire companies, re-vitalize their products and services and brand identity systems. Solving their “Why” on shelf, why go to market. For brands & companies to grow, to stand apart, separate from the competition, to be distinctive, recognizable, memorable. That’s what I do. My unique background and experiences span more than three decades specializing in brand identity and CPG packaging design. I deliver a broad perspective to any role, having served both as an in-house Creative Design Director for private companies Clif Bar & Company and GU Energy, and also in Associate Creative Director and Senior Design Director roles at traditional design firm agencies such as CKS Partners and Landor Associates. I grew up on the farm - Davis, CA - that is. I graduated from UC Davis, affectionately known by scholars - and certain professors - as “Athens of the Cornfields.” So yes, I was indeed an Aggie. Our cookie-cutter Davis tract house (1303 Alice Street) became famously known for having clay sculpture toilets posed as furniture in our living room. You could say my famous-artist father sculpted my early creativity. Over the years since, I’ve had the pleasure of solving business problems through collaborative and strategic design for an array of startups and Fortune 500 companies, all in need of revitalized brand identities, innovative packaging designs, or web and integrated visual design systems.
