Immunization and PHC (Routine Immunization, SIAs, Surveillance)

• Providing strategic and operational oversight of polio outbreak response operations, particularly around the areas of campaign design, implementation, vaccine management and advocacy, ensuring that they address the needs of the population and are aligned with plans and strategies of the national polio outbreak response.

• Providing strategic and operational leadership on the micro planning meetings, and co- creation sessions with adolescents and young people for detailed state and LGA level roll-out plans.

• Support the state ACSM (Advocacy, Communication, and Social Mobilization) working group for the HPV routinization and polio campaign to support the development of adolescent- friendly social media messages as well as polio social mobilization messages.

• Support identification, coordination, and engagement of state-level and LGA-level stakeholders and CSO partners (education, women affairs, NGOs, CBOs, faith-based, youth, etc.) for community engagement, mobilization, mapping of adolescent-friendly platforms, networks, and enumeration of eligible girls in and out of school to guide planning and vaccination.

• Supported in collaboration with other officers to Identify facilities and map catchment areas for facility-led community outreaches (hub and spoke model) in the state

• Supported and mobilized Adolescent and Young People (AYP) platforms at the state levels to ensure meaningful engagement of AYP in the design and development of innovative IEC materials, roll-out, monitoring, and documentation of the HPV campaigns.

• Supported the States to integrate adolescent girl-centered approaches for the planning of demand-generation activities for the routinization of HPV in katsina September,2024

• Representing WHO at meetings and EOC, provide direct feedback to the SC and WCO about outbreak response progress, challenges and ways forward.

• Fostering close coordination with SPHCDB and other partners, and assisting the organization in participating in regular coordination meetings, teleconferences, and updates sharing as need be.

• Work with SPHCDB/SMOH/WHO/The Gates Foundation and other partners to develop a state outbreak response plan, including a budget as may be needed

• Assist in the timely preparation of State Immunization/PEI (Polio Eradication, Routine Immunization, and control of other vaccine-preventable diseases) annual work plans in line with national plans.

• Participate in weekly coordination meetings of the State Technical Team to monitor the implementation of priority PEI/Immunization activities as detailed in the State PEI/Immunization plans.

• Participate in EOC meeting and coordinate technical support to the Technical Working Groups

• Supporting the development of the technical presentation in the monthly State Inter-agency Coordination Committee or State Immunization Task Force meetings to review the implementation of priority EPI/PEI activities and EPI/PEI performance indicators.

• Regularly update State PEI/Immunization plans to incorporate technical recommendations from National Recommendations.

Oversee the development and monitoring of work plans

• Conducting weekly in-house coordination meetings and follow up on priority actions under guidance by the State Coordinator

• .Ensuring timely sharing of activity reports and plans with state authorities, partners, and relevant stakeholders as instructed by the State Coordinator

• Conducting regular supportive supervisions and validation visits of activities conducted by WHO personnel in high-risk or poorly performing LGAs and share the feedback to the SC
