Career Summary:

-Participated in an online diploma in Understanding Autism from the Open University (21 July, 2020).

-Cache Level 2 certified teaching assistant (achieved in 2017 from the British Orchard Nursery).

-Trained by the International Health and Safety Center on Pediatric First Aid.

-Obtained the International Montessori Teaching Diploma for Infants and Twos by the North American Montessori Center (June 2018).

In addition to the above, I have attended workshops organized by Kids first discussing emotional resilient child strategies for home and school and in April 2017 I had a heart saver pediatric first aid course.

My students are gifted with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Dyslexia, Tourette Syndrome and Non-verbal disorder.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Develop an Individual Achievement Plan (IAP) for each student based on the level of curriculum and the modifications required.

•Plan 1:1 intervention sessions in response to the IAP with guidance and support from the School.

•Work closely with the class teacher to ensure full coordination and full inclusion within the classroom environment.

•Promote access to class-based learning by employing appropriate strategies and a suitable level of prompting;

•Offer support in relation to personal safety, classroom and behavior management.

•Ensure the student is socially active and integrated within the school environment.

•Reflect on and modify the level of prompting and support with the aim of developing independence;

•Communicate knowledgeably and in a professional manner, about the student and his / her progress towards IEP targets and functional independence;

•Collate the necessary evidence and paperwork to support judgements regarding progress and attainment;
