WORK EXPERIENCE
Ontrac- General Manager (2023-Present)
Effectively managed and oversaw the operations of a multimillion-dollar facility.
Responsible for annual P&Ls for the Raleigh branch.
Results driven manager, I worked with Courier Service Providers, and Master Contractors to improve the branch’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in which we ranked 1st in the Mid-Atlantic Region and 6th in the company.
2023 peak finished 10th in On-time OT performance 99.39%.
Created an Outbound package distribution process that streamlined missorted packages to be picked up by Linehaul per branch and returned to the hub for dissemination to its correct facility resulting in cost savings for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Responsible for meeting Defect Per Million Opportunities (DMPO) metrics sub 3K.
LaserShip- General Manager (2020-2023)
Oversaw day to day operations of the Raleigh branch.
Responsible for creating a result(s) driven supply chain operation.
Responsible for outlining territories and cost package index.
Created a sort diagram with the use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) that would improve and significantly reduce overall sort cost and enhance productivity.
Developed SOPs for the branch, implemented and executed effective strategies to improve inbound sorting processes, dispatching inefficiencies, and methods to mitigate lost consignment issues.
Implemented a checks and balances dispatch process that enabled Independent Contractors to be held accountable for their Missing Load Scans via “stamp of approval” process.
FedEx Ground- Operations Manager (2019-2020)
Serves as the manager on duty (MOD) in the absence of the Sort Manager.
Create and run daily reports via Business Objects to disseminate to non-exempt managers.
Conduct second day new hire package handler orientations and sign off on H-220’s for both Pre-load and Outbound sorts.
Create plans via AWAD, cut routes, flex work areas, and transfer packages as deemed by the contractors and/or operational needs due to staffing and work volume.
Conduct safety meetings with package handlers and discover ways to maintain a safe work environment in the station. In addition, ensure that everyone understands and signs OP-140 documents. Moreover, I make sure that everyone from management to package handlers is adhering to safety guidelines.
Lead daily Pre-Sort meetings with package handlers to discuss vital information pertaining to current day volume, safety message, conduct proper stretching and answer any questions that may arise.
Determine ways to improve key metrics and discover the root cause for any specific issue where goals are not being reached.
Co-Conduct weekly equipment inventory inspections for the station. Moreover, I make sure that any malfunctioning equipment is immediately sent out for repair and all items are accounted for.
Conduct interviews for special assigned Operations Managers, and Package Handler Trainers.
Handle injury claims via Safety Compliance Management System (SCMS).
Serve as a liaison between management staff and ISPs to ensure the quality of scanning per package, low to moderate damages and claims, and proper dispatch for drivers.
Maintaining 30-60-90 Day Investment Program for newly hired package handlers to promote safety.
FedEx Ground- Quality Assurance (2014-2019)
Updated invalid mailing addresses to ensure that the customer receives their package(s).
Contacted customers to verify shipping address is accurate.
Monitored damaged packages to ensure that the quality of product met FedEx packaging standards.
