Material handler/stocking and unstocking
I previously worked part-time at Ross Dress for Less as a material handler, where my main responsibilities included unpacking merchandise delivered to the store and organizing items on the shelves for customer
access. While I appreciated the opportunity, I often received very limited hours and inconsistent workdays throughout the month, making it difficult to grow
financially or professionally. I'm now actively seeking a better job that offers more consistent hours, better pay, and opportunities for overtime. I'm fully available to work mornings, afternoons, or full days, and I’m ready to show strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to contribute to a team. I’m highly
motivated to find a position where I can work hard, stay committed, and grow within the company.

Dietary aide
My name is [tyree reid ], and I am currently nineteen years old. I began my journey into the workforce when I was eighteen, and my very first full-time job was as a dietary aide. That role opened the door for me to
discover something deeply meaningful about myself—I absolutely love helping others, especially the elderly and those in need.
Working as a dietary aide was more than just a job to me. It gave me the opportunity to interact with older individuals on a daily basis, and I found genuine joy in serving them. Whether it was helping prepare their meals, delivering food with a smile, or simply sharing a few kind words during the day, I felt like I was making a difference. Their appreciation and the warmth in their eyes made every effort feel worthwhile. I realized that being there for people who need care and compassion is something I’m truly passionate about.
But being new to the workforce, there were definitely a few bumps in the road. As with many first jobs, I made a few mistakes—nothing major, but I did have a couple of days where I arrived late. At the time, I was still learning the importance of punctuality and personal responsibility. These small missteps taught me
valuable lessons about being dependable and
prepared, and I’ve grown so much because of them.
Every day on that job helped me mature, and I became more committed to improving myself both
professionally and personally.
Unfortunately, I had to leave that position sooner than I expected, not solely because of the late days, but because of a personal family matter. My mother fell seriously ill, and as the only person available to take care of her, I had to step up. My family has always been a priority in my life, and as difficult as it was to walk away from a job I loved, I knew I was doing the right thing by being there for her during such a critical time.
Since leaving that job, I’ve been actively applying for new opportunities. I’ve submitted countless
applications and waited patiently, hoping someone will give me the chance to prove myself again. I know what it means to be a hard worker, to care for others, and to learn from my mistakes. What I’m looking for now is I enjoy playing video games in my free time, which has helped me develop quick thinking, problem-solving
skills, and strong hand-eye coordination. It also
encourages teamwork and strategy when playing with others online

simply a chance—to show that I’ve grown, that I’m
ready, and that I have a heart dedicated to helping others. I believe that with the right opportunity, I can bring not just skills and effort to a team, but also genuine compassion and commitment.
I’m truly striving to move forward, and I hope someone will believe in me enough to take that chance.

Dietary work is all about making sure that people, especially those in care facilities like nursing homes or hospitals, receive meals that meet their health needs and dietary restrictions. As a dietary aide, your job involves more than just serving food—you help prepare meals, follow special menus designed by nutritionists, and ensure that everything is handled safely and
hygienically. You also make sure the kitchen and
dining areas stay clean and organized. One of the
biggest parts of the job is interacting with the
residents or patients, making sure they’re satisfied with their meals and helping create a comfortable, caring environment. It's a role that blends food service with compassion and attention to detail.
