Analysing Network Vulnerabilities with Python

Used standard Python’s “socket” library, wrote a Python program that tested a given host and generated a list of all TCP open ports within the range of 1 to 1025 Code looked for all open TCP ports between the range of 1 to 1025. If a port was open, our code created a file and added an entry for each port number that was open.

In case of any exception for instance “host is not available”, “host name could not be resolved” or due to any other error, the exception was written into the output file.

We also recorded the starting and ending date and time of the beginning and ending of the scan and wrote that information to the output file. We also showed the total time it took to scan the ports.

Ethical Hacking

Exploited 4 vulnerabilities on web and production servers, including root access. Created a backdoor account and looked for interesting files.
