EDUCATION
GENERAL STUDIES• MAY 2018 • SOUTH POINTE HIGH SCHOOL
My entire high school career was spent going to South Pointe High School. I participated in all four years of Student Government, helped plan pep rallies, youth outreach & basketball, while maintaining a 2.9 GPA.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE OR LEADERSHIP
STUDENT GOVERNMENT, SOUTH POINTE HIGH SCHOOL 2014-2018
I was an active member in South Pointe’s Student Government from a Sophomore until Senior year. I was fortunate enough to be elected to run for class president twice and gracious enough to win Junior Class President. In these three years I was able to enhance my leadership and organization skills. I planned Homecomings, Fundraisers and Tailgates. I also handled money and time sheets and participated in youth outreach in our community.
REFERENCES
COURTNEY CHAPREE • Former Supervisor at Trulieve Dispensary
Working under the leadership of Courtney during my time at Trulieve was very developmental to my professional skill set. Constantly pushing me to soak up as much knowledge as I can, Courtney continuously encouraged me to expand my cannabis literacy, as well as held me to the standard of a floor leader.
TAHARA LEE • Family Friend/Adjuster at EMA Risk Services
A longtime friend who I met during my time while working at Dial America USA. Tahara has always been a good team player and speaks highly of the power of sharing information. Tahara and I collaborate often, as she runs a small business.
BRY’KARA EVANS • Family Friend/Former Year-Up Advisor
While I did not complete a full contract with Year-Up, I did meet Bry’kara while volunteering for youth outreach at one of their recruiting events. I immediately connected with Niy afterwards and we spoke about what can be done with the youth of South Phoenix. Niy runs a small business as well as a non-profit.
