• Built software (bash, SQL,AWK) to scan servers for vulnerabilities and worked with vendors to ensure our vulnerabilities were properly resolved. This project addressed over 1000 vulnerabilities on our 45 servers.
• Created documents detailing how to do user maintenance, ensuring that users were not left active longer than needed.
• Mastered management of Teradata backups and restores, and rearranged backups to keep footprint on disk to a minimum. We reduced the size of our backups by about 30% with no data loss.
