• Working as the managing editor and lead photographer on print and digital projects including agency newsletters, e- newsletters, weekly e-bulletins, annual reports, children’s books, brochures and other unique publications.
• Rewriting in plain language and digitizing 500+ public-facing and internal forms.
• Mentoring interns in writing, hosting poetry slams featuring young poets from the foster care community.
• Developing and coordinating press conferences for Mayor Michael Bloomberg, NYC Administration for Children’s Services Commissioners John Mattingly and David Hansell, and NYC Small Business Services Commissioner Rob Walsh. Photographing press conferences.
• Developing public service campaigns including Be Careful About How You Care for Your Child, Safe Sleep Initiatives for Babies, Foster Care and Adoption Months, Girls Empowerment, Find Family and Friends First / KinShip Care, among others. As lead on these projects, I developed concepts, wrote copy, proofread, designed and branded these campaigns for social media, subway ads, as well as public and internal agency websites.
