Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with Surgery and Trauma Specialists 2007 – Present (18 years of experience)
I have been practicing for the last 18 years as part of a group of 5 orthopaedic trauma fellowship trained specialists managing acute trauma of the pelvis, acetabulum, and extremities. I’ve also managed nonacute post-traumatic patients with nonunions and post-traumatic deformities. Also managed osteoporotic fractures of the hip and femur with arthroplasty.
Leadership/Committies
Over the last 18 years I’ve been closely involved in vendor contract negotiations to obtain the most effective price for our hospital
Infection prevention task force – focused on minimizing SSI and deep tissue infections Bone substitute task force – focused on finding the optimal bone filler substitutes for orthopaedic needs Physician burnout/moral injury focus group – centered around preventing burnout in orthopaedics – building resilience, retention, and overall wellness of the orthopaedic surgeon.
