I’d like to take a moment of your time to tell you a little about Marianne Landivar, someone I had the opportunity to manage recently. There are a number of reasons that I enjoyed working with Marianne, including her goal oriented nature, her perseverance and her amazing sales results.

The first thing I noticed while working with Marianne was the importance to her of setting goals. She had a good idea of where she wanted to go while working with me, and asked for help in setting road markers on her path so she would know how well she was doing. She constantly measured herself not only against the goals we set as an organization, but against the goals she set for herself. On the rare occasion that she was not able to reach a goal, she asked for assistance and developed new plans to achieve. Marianne was one of the first associates I hired to help staff a brand new location, and was eager to get started as we opened our business. Like any new location, things were slow in the beginning, and Marianne looked for and worked hard and found ways to make our business grow. She was a key player in each of our initiatives to grow our customer base, and was very eager to try new things and new ideas to help us succeed..When it became obvious that the location had done its job, Marianne volunteered to stay on until the very end, a difficult but appreciated decision to finish what she had started and see our Resume

venture to the very end. I think it is the combination of her goal setting and perseverance that allowed Marianne to reach the lofty heights of performance she achieved while working with me.
