Technical Project Manager (Data Center Buildout)

Managed the buildout of Hyperscale Data Centers across the US, Canada and Europe, ranging from 2 MW to 140 MW in size. These high powered, fast moving Data Center builds consisted of both Air Cooled and Liquid cooled environments.

Responsible for all facets of the buildout to include defined scope documents, project plans and timelines, vendor relationships, material procurement and inventory processes, resource allocations, liaison activities between stakeholders, reporting and collaboration between internal and external resources, problem resolution and ultimately delivering a quality product to the customer on time and under budget.

AUG 2023 – JUN 2025 Presidio / PNC Bank (Contractor) Pittsburgh, PA

Sr Project Manager (Information Technology – Network/Power Upgrades)

Responsible for management of Power and Network upgrades in 687 Branches across the United states. Managed internal and external resources to standardize Computer Rooms, bringing stability and consistency throughout the enterprise. Budget responsibilities included over $6M in capital expenditures. Responsible for scope identification, vendor management, budget, problem resolution, reporting and project closeout. Duration of effort was 20 months.

IT Project Manager (Information Technology)

Over 16 years Successfully managing projects of varying scope, complexity, budget. Projects spanned the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands. These projects included Retail sector (across 2,200+ stores), Distribution Facilities, Call Centers, Data Centers, Corporate campuses, Call Centers and other special projects. During my tenure, I have managed as many as 10 projects at any given time and have completed on average 40-45 projects each Fiscal year. Work in a matrixed environment and my responsibilities, include the management of resources from Networking, Voice, Facilities, Real Estate improvements, Construction, Software engineering, IT Security teams and vendor resources. significant portion of my time working with engineering teams on design activities. APR 2005 – AUG 2007 Quest Diagnostics Tucker, GA

IT Project Manager (Information Technology & Facilities)

- LEAN in the LAB Pilot Project with $7.6M Overall Project Budget. Used both PMBOK and Six Sigma Methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. Areas of responsibility included: Voice and Data Infrastructure (Telephony). Successfully deployed 1,000+ devices and over 53 miles of Cat5 Cabling. Responsible for 17 Interface Projects, in which programming occurred using remote resources. Spanned over 30 functional areas of responsibility. Project was completed successfully and under budget, from concept to implementation in 20 months, and is currently being replicated throughout the company. Annual operational savings due to this project just for the Atlanta Business Units is projected at $2.9M.

- 19 smaller projects were also managed, using PMBOK and Six Sigma Methodologies during the span of this project.

AUG 2004 – APR 2005 Federated Service Solutions Roswell, GA

Sr. Project Manager (IT Deployment in Retail Environment)

- Managed 10 Projects (as a contractor) for this employer. The projects were primarily equipment deployment projects (Voice/Telephony and Data Networking), for several key retailers nationwide, using remote contractors. PMBOK methodologies were used throughout the life of each of the 10 Projects. I held overall project management, control, budget, documentation, and closeout responsibilities.

- Walgreen’s ATM Project - $3.2M Budget – Project Scope: Prepare sites for installation of ATM Machines in 2,500+ Walgreens Retail Stores. Project was completed in 4 months, and came in under budget by 10%.

- Target Call Button Project - $1.5M Budget – Scope: Install a wireless Customer Call Button

Technology in 750 geographically diverse retail stores throughout the United States.

Successfully installed 3000+ devices in 4 months.

FEB 2003 – AUG 2004 McKenney’s Mechanical, Inc Atlanta, GA

Project Manager (HVAC Automations & Controls)

- UGA Complex Carbohydrates Research Center (CCRC) Project - Responsible for the

successful implementation of building Automation and Controls for the new CCRC Building on the campus of the University of Georgia. The overall Project Scope was to create an intelligent building, where lights, access, heating, cooling, humidity, and ventilation were controlled automatically based upon current conditions. PMBOK Methodologies were used to manage this project. During the project we deployed and controlled over 2,100 devices. Project duration was 14 months and was completed on time and on budget

- UGA Student Common Center Project – Responsible for the successful implementation of the building Automation and Controls for the new Student Common Center on the campus of the University of Georgia. Used PMBOK Methodologies. The project consisted of the deployment and control of over 700 devices throughout the building. Project duration was 9 months, and was completed on schedule and under budget.

- UGA East Campus Village Apartments & Dining Facility Project - Responsible for the

successful implementation of the building Automation and Controls for the new East Campus Village Apartments and Dining Facility on the campus of the University of Georgia. Used PMBOK Methodologies. The project consisted of the installation and automated control of HVAC Devices for over 1500 apartments (3580 Devices), as well as the dining Facility (725 Devices). Project duration was 12 months, and was completed on time and under budget.

AUG 1998 – SEP 2002 NEXTLINK / XO Communications, Inc Smyrna, GA

Project Manager (Telecommunications Facility Construction/Telephony)

- Nextel Fiber Build project – Responsible for all project activities related to the installation of a 35 mile redundant fiber ring from the XO Central Office to the NEXTEL Hub Site. Deployed Central Office and transport equipment as well as 35 miles of redundant Fiber backbone into Nextel Facility. Responsibilities included vendor selection and bid process, budget management, management of internal and external resources, risk mitigation, financials and project closeout. Project Budget was $6.2M, Duration 14 months.

- Bellsouth Central Office Collocation Projects – Responsible for 13 projects throughout metro Atlanta, building out collocation space in 13 strategic Bellsouth Central Offices. Deployment consisted of site prep, space buildout and installation of associated network equipment. 127 devices installed per site, for a total deployment of 1,651 devices. Each project lasted 90 days, and average budget was $2.8M.

- XO Central Office Construction Project – Responsible for the construction of the new Central Office Switch Site at our Smyrna, GA facility. The site was 175,000 sq ft, and built to BELL Standards. The installation consisted of Racking, Cabling, Equipment, HVAC, Fire suppression, Alarm system, Access Control, DC Power Plant, NORTEL Class B Phone Switch, DACS, MUX, SONET Gear, DSLAMS, Cisco Data Switches, and other related systems to support operation of a Telecommunications company. Over 4500 Voice and Data devices were installed within the facility. Project was a joint effort between the Corporate Engineering Team, Local Operations, Equipment Vendors and contractors. The project spanned 24 months.
