Over a 3 year period, I ensured cyber security for the AEP network by guiding the creation of cybersecurity requirements, documenting cybersecurity policies & SOPs in compliance with NIST & NERC Frameworks, obtaining approval from business leaders for those policies & SOPs, publication of and enforcement of those cybersecurity policies & SOPs for 17K+ employees.
Over a 3 year period, I guided the use of secure base images across AEP by performing risk assessments and creating documentation on proper container usage for Windows & Linux base images.
Following the identification of vulnerabilities in AEP container base images, I organized and led an 8-person cross-functional working group for 9 months which was remediating the issues prior to my departure.
Over an 8-month period – and while serving as a Lead Architect for a Service Account integration project, I worked with a 12 person, cross-functional team to address significant differences on how to track service accounts across AEP via an integration between ServiceNow & MyAccess which resulted in the creation of a new process to successfully track the request, approval, creation and deletion of service accounts.
Over a 10-month period, I led the design of a system to automate the approval and processing of connections between AEP and 100+ third-party vendors including directing discussions between key integration teams to determine shared attributes, proper approval workflows and tracking in case of vendor breach.
