With three decades of experience in Psychiatry, I bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and dedication to clinical care for individuals, families and groups. I have extensive experience providing and managing clinicians in all settings, including in-patient and out-patient settings. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in diagnosing psychiatric disorders and interviewing people effectively. My interpersonal strengths allow me to connect with diverse populations empathically and compassionately ensuring that people feel understood and supported. My engagement skills are extraordinary. My communication abilities are instrumental in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans that prioritize well-being. In addition to these skills, decision making is a core strength that has been vital in high-pressure situations inherent to this type of clinical work. I am well versed and adept at risk assessment and intervention. My experience has equipped me with the ability to assess situations swiftly while maintaining focus on delivering quality care.

As someone who thrives as a part of a team-oriented environment, I am particularly drawn to work environments with a commitment to a collaborative clinical practice. I have provided clinical supervision to numerous disciplines and participated in the orientation and training of students, interns and residents. I have interviewed and hired clinicians and staff and supervised a group of 25 clinicians. I am eager for the possibility to bring my expertise and passion for mental health care to your team. I am passionate regarding the treatment of mental health disorders and substance use disorders with evidence based treatment modalities.

A particular passion of mine is to provide therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing persistent mental illness. I am well versed in the assessment and treatment of Substance Use Disorders. As I begin the next chapter of my career, I hope to serve this population in an out-patient/residential level of care.. My ability to engage with all populations is one of my core strengths. I am readily available in early morning hours, evening hours, weekends and holidays to meet organizational needs.
