Summary

While I am just getting started on my professional career, I have experience in customer service since I became of working age. With my education in computer science, I have become proficient in anything computer related in any field, with little to no extra training. During my education, I have led multiple group projects, and I am currently working as the lead and only developer for a software project for a non-profit organization. With my small, but recent experience, I feel like I would make a respectful asset to the team.

Duties:

Process customer transactions to ensure everything the customer takes from the store is paid for.

Manage money in the till to ensure the register is not filled with too much money and still has enough money to provide change to a customer.

Do periodic cleaning of the entire front of the store, making sure customers enter a clean environment while shopping.

Do basic maintenance on commonly used items (ex. Cleaning the bill accepter to ensure valid bills can enter the electronic safe, cleaning card readers for cards to read properly, restarting registers when they freeze due to poor performance).

Recording security seal tapes on fuel pumps to ensure no tampering has happened and replacing them when they are falling off.

Restock items from storage room when product run out on store shelves or in proper placement for non-purchasable goods like straws and paper towels.

From 7pm to close, clean the entirety of the front end of the store to ensure an easier time for the morning shift to open the store.

When asked, help with preparing food in the kitchen to ensure customers get their food on time.

If there is an issue with a customer, ensure customer satisfaction within my guidelines, by providing discounts to current or future orders, and apologizing for the inconvenience.

Ensured compliance with State and Federal laws for the sale of restricted items to include alcohol, lottery, and tobacco. When presented with a fake ID, contacting local law enforcement for the proper disposal and punishment to the perpetrator, while not selling the customer anything age restricted.

Coordinating with coworkers on requested days off and covering of shifts if a coworker needs a day off for personal or medical reasons and working with local management to understanding and acceptance of the shift changes.
