Your role will include:
Spearheading the development of new product solutions, with a focus on medical product design and other cutting-edge applications. Collaborating in dynamic ideation sessions with clients and our internal team of Industrial Designers, Graphic Designers, Engineers, and Rapid Prototypers. Providing expert engineering support to cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. Managing multiple tasks to meet project deadlines and deliverables with precision. Contributing to the fabrication of mock-ups and prototypes using advanced techniques like SLA, FDM, SLS, sheet metal, and machining. Communicating project status clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to internal teams and external clients. Leading and facilitating design reviews (preliminary and critical) to drive project excellence. What We're Looking For: We’re seeking a visionary Senior Mechanical Engineer with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in product development. You’ll bring:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of experience in new product development, preferably in a design firm environment.
Expertise in mechanism and product design for injection molding, casting, machining, and sheet metal parts optimized for functionality and mass production. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar solid modeling CAD packages, including:
-3D modeling for sheet metal, machining, casting, and injection molding.
-Mechanism and large assembly design.
-Part and assembly drawings with functional tolerances and detailing for prototypes and production.
-Knowledge of Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M-1994).
-Advanced modeling techniques and surfacing..
Experience with standard FEA software, such as SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS. Strong multitasking and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively. Proven problem-solving skills, with a knack for developing innovative solutions while balancing schedule and budget constraints. Experience in medical and electrical product design is a strong plus.
