Experiences

I have worked as a vascular technician since 2017, caring for patients, performing office duties and at times acting as interim supervisor. I have previous experience prior to this working in offices and as an operator for MCI WorldCom. I am familiar with many word document programs, telephone etiquette and other office tasks. I have experience in information retrieval and customer service, and I am familiar with office protocols as well as various computer programs.

Equipment- I am familiar with many different ultrasound machines, office equipment and word document programs. I have worked with Microsoft office and other such programs to effectively complete tasks within our department. I helped create and facilitate the implementation of new medical reporting systems with our labs and completed extra training to troubleshoot any issues that arose during the use of specific programs.

Credentials- Member of ARDMS, SPI-May 2016, RVT-, current BLS healthcare provider through American Red Cross, AAS in vascular ultrasound, BAS in Health Studies.

Volunteer Activities- HSNIVIT volunteer, and I have volunteered at numerous outreach programs through Alvin church of Christ.

Work History-

2/2022-8/2024- Clearlake specialties formerly known as SE Houston Cardiology- I was the vascular sonographer for several cardiac physicians. I was responsible for the daily reporting as well as patients vascular charting and ultrasound exams. I maintained my own workstation and ultrasound machine and verified patients’ history and past medical procedures as well as perform any other paperwork and vascular exams. Some of my responsibilities included helping to schedule exams, as well as preparing and managing patients’ charts. I helped patients with any issues they had concerning their medications or procedures and referred them to my supervisor if there was an issue that was beyond my scope of practice.

2/2017-11/12/21- I have been employed by HCA Southeast as a vascular tech. I have performed pre-CABG arterial and vein mapping as well as non-imaging and reporting through Echopacs and Radpacs. I have mapped arteries and veins in the upper extremities for fistula creation as well as evaluate the patency and condition of fistulas with and without grafts and stents. I regularly perform venous insufficiency according to hospital protocol as well as arterial duplex for non-healing wounds and ulcers. When needed, I assisted in ultrasound guided procedures and any other procedures cardiology and radiology requested at any given time. I maintained office records as well as records for lab accreditation and protocols.

Rayford Welch- 1/2015-10/2016 Worked as a private home health CNA for Mr. Welch’s mother (Lavonne). Care included preparing meals, dispensing of medication, bathing, and other medical duties such as vitals and physical therapy.

Monroe and Ruth Davis (The R Group)-11/2013-04/2015 Worked as a certified nurse assistant for the R Group. Duties included dispensing of medications in a timely manner, patient care and bathing, as well as physical therapy and the scheduling of doctors’ appointments and other home healthcare appointments. I was also responsible for record keeping of doctors’ appointments, medications and vital signs

Jane Story (The R Group)- 5/2012-11/2013 Worked as certified nurse assistant with the R group. Duties included dispensing of medications in a timely manner, patient care and bathing, as well as physical therapy and the scheduling of doctors’ appointments and other home healthcare appointments. I was also responsible for maintaining records and performing vital signs.

APAC call center-8/2000-1/2001 I worked as an operator for MCI WorldCom. My duties included customer service and technical support for long-distance calling plans. I was responsible for deescalating situations concerning frustrated customers and businesses as well as providing solutions for customer issues. Maintaining records and addressing any issues customers may have had with their accounts was among my responsibilities as well. Providing quality customer service in an efficient and timely manner was a key skill I used on an everyday basis.
