David has an extensive background in documentary-style visual storytelling with nearly 15 years of international experience. Beginning his career as a photojournalist and filmmaker in Japan, he later expanded his expertise as a cinematographer and editor for documentaries before transitioning into commer- cial and narrative projects. David specializes in documentary and CSR/CSV-driven commercial work, collaborating with grassroots organizations, local businesses, and established brands to align profit with purpose. Guided by a belief in the transformative power of storytelling, David crafts intimate, story-driven films that inspire compassion, responsibility, and meaningful change for directors, brands, and organizations. Currently based in Los Angeles.
