At Kehe i was cross trained to be a order selector and a forklift operator. for order selecting i would use the scanner and go to every location and grab the amount of items needed for the order while making sure all the items fit on the pallets and making sure my stacking was good so the loaders did not have trouble putting them in the trucks. We used saran wrap to keep everything concealed and make sure nothing falls over.
My job using the reach machine was to bring full pallets of a specific item down whenever selectors put that the location was empty or when we see that they are almost empty. using a box cutter i would cut take the saran wrap off and place the full pallet in the empty location. Before and after this i would scan the location so the system no longer showed that it was empty Laborer
