SPORTS PROGRAM COORDINATOR
YMCA DAN MCKINNEY /SAN DIEGO, CA
2024-CURRENT
I was tasked with being the face in rebuilding the sports department from the ground up along with its programming after being closed for 5 years.
In developing the program, I performed the marketing, budgeting, fundraising, coding, pricing, coaching, and training.
The programs themselves have continually grown upward of 600 youth and 250 adults across our basketball and volleyball programs in a 10-month span.
Conducted interviews, hired staff, created training modules/policies for volunteers and employees, and created coach training programs (giving them hands on experience with drills for the respective sport) along with procedures that were specifically related to basketball and volleyball.
Hosted campaign events such as, March McKinney Madness Basketball Tournament which raised $2,000, St. Paddy’s Pickleball Tournament that raised 2,500, and was engaged with talking with Donors which accumulated grants along with the fundraisers.
